Kanye West has taken a lot of heat lately, from ex-girlfriends, fashion labels, Twitter scandals and now debt claims. Yesterday, the rapper put an end to all the speculation.
West held a private party in Los Angeles’ 1Oak last night where he debuted a new track titled Closest Thing to Einstein.
His lyrics touched base on the alleged debt he’s facing, the Twitter disputes and even his mental health:
"I know I'm the most influential/ That TIME cover was just confirmation/ This generation's closest thing to Einstein/ But don't worry about me, I'm fine.”

West collaborated with British electronic singer-songwriter and producer Sampha for the new track. Luckily West’s friends and his fans caught the event on camera, so there’s plenty of footage going around.
"I can't say no to nobody/ At this rate we gon' both die broke/ Got friends that ask me for money knowing I'm in debt/ And like my wife said, I still didn't say no." He continues, "People try to say I'm going crazy on Twitter/ My friends' best advice was to stay low ... The media said he's way out of control/ I just feel like I'm the only one not pretending I'm not out of control." and, "Never listen to Hollywood producers/ Don't stare at money too long, it's Medusa.”
During the party, West even addressed Amber Rose’s ass play comment saying, “I don’t play like that!”
Controversial or not, we’re just happy Kanye is throwing new music our way. As for his latest album, The Life of Pablo, it’s still a work in progress for the rapper. West claims the album will only be available on Tidal.
