Facebook Just Announced A New Website Specifically For Nonprofits

Connecting with supporters in the social sphere just got a little easier for nonprofits — at least on Facebook.
Facebook just announced a new website which will be used as a resource for nonprofits and NGOs. The new site will give readers an extensive instruction manual that will cover topics like setting up a page to building a network support system.
A step-by-step guide will also cover how to use the platform’s fundraising tools.

Facebook hopes the new resource will be essential for nonprofits and NGOs to create a name for themselves on the social network.
"We are constantly blown away by the ways people and organizations use Facebook — not just to connect, but to make an impact in their communities and around the world," Joanne Sprague, marketing manager of social good at Facebook, wrote in a blog post announcing the release.

"This is especially true of nonprofits, who inspire us every day by raising awareness about their causes, activating supporters and raising the funds they need to support their organizations. We want to help nonprofits use Facebook more effectively to achieve these goals," she said.
Since Nonprofits and NGOs are known for being unable to fully connect with social media supporters, Facebook hopes this new platform will help solve those issues.
The Facebook for Nonprofits website will be updated with more features as it becomes available for those with nonprofits or NGO status
