Jimmy Fallon slapped on a gaudy wig, smeared his face with a healthy dose of bronzer and mustered his huskiest voice for a Tonight Show bit Monday where he portrayed Donald Trump receiving debate advice from Barack Obama, played by actor Dion Flynn
The sketch came after Gawker beat Trump at his own game and leaked the Republican presidential hopeful's private phone number. Looking like a raccoon with a bad tan and a bowl of spaghetti on his head, Fallon, as Trump, heard Obama out, even though he cracked, "Look I've been president for eight years — I'm ready for some entertainment. I just wanna grab some popcorn, sit back and watch this whole shit show go down."
"Yes, thank you, I am great and very rich," Trump replied.
Despite Obama's best efforts, Trump continued to err, throwing out random numbers, calling the president "Barack Hussein Omarosa," and slamming the media and a fellow GOP hopeful: "The media loves me. They try to act like they don't, but they do. They say they're done; they say they've had enough, but yet they keep coming back for more — they're like Chris Christie at a Golden Corral buffet."
Even Obama had to give it up for that one. But Trump quickly faltered again, answering the president's questions about immigration, the economy and education with, "Build a giant wall."
"What's your favorite Pink Floyd album?" Obama baited. "Dark Side of the Moon," Trump replied.
Despite all his failings, the Donald was prepared for one aspect of the debate: The inevitable fallout. After Obama warned him that the Internet would turn his every mistake into a meme, he whipped out an microphone, cranked the auto-tune and sang his own gaffes — and got Obama to join on a duet of Omi's "Cheerleader," as well.
